Made in Dagenham Audition Dates

Auditions for our 2018 musical production Made in Dagenham, will take place on Saturday 6th January between 10am and 6pm at St Joseph's Primary School, Castleford. Call backs will be on Thursday 11th January, with the first full rehearsal taking place on Tuesday 16th January.

The show, to be performed at Castleford Phoenix Theatre from 6th to 9th June is based on the 2010 film of the same name. With music by David Arnold and lyrics by Richard Thomas, story is drawn from the real-life 1968 sewing machinists strike at the Ford factory in Dagenham, Essex. This strike was influential in the passing of the Equal Pay Act of 1970.

Bowel Cancer UK

Encore are very pleased to announce the total amount raised for our 2016-17 charity, Bowel Cancer UK is a fantastic £1144. This was raised with our 2016 Christmas Prize Draw ticket sales, plus bucket collections after each of our pantomime and Jesus Christ Superstar performances, so a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets or made a donation!

2017 Car Rally

Almost 60 people in 15 teams took part in our biggest ETC Car Rally yet in early August. Starting from the car park opposite Castleford Civic Centre the teams followed directions, spotting the answers to questions and finding listed items, before arriving at the Prince William Stonehouse pub in Castleford for pizzas and a quiz.

Congratulations to team 'The Wrong Direction' who won the rally for the second time in three years!

Thank you to Phil and Sarah for organising the event, and to everyone who took part, helping us raise almost £180. Thank you also to the Prince William Stonehouse Pub for their hospitality.

Lord St Oswald is very proud of his support to local charities and organisations and we feel very privileged to have secured his interest in our Company. We will be keeping in touch with Lord St Oswald regarding our activities and hope you will all have an opportunity to meet him in due course.
